Since its inception, INARSAC has embraced a clear vision: to combine innovation and the development of natural products with the preservation of the environment from which they originate. Founded in 2018 in the Madre de Dios region, a corner of the Peruvian Amazon known for its biodiversity, our company has grown under a fundamental pillar: respect for the land and local communities. But what exactly does this philosophy mean and how do we carry it out?
The Origin of Our Raw Materials: Products with History
Brazil nut oil and copoazu butter are not simply products; they are the result of a process that begins in the hearts of the trees and culminates in products that enrich the cosmetic industry and other areas. The Amazon nut (also known as Brazil nut) is a treasure that encapsulates the essence of the Amazon. Its oil, extracted using sustainable and respectful methods, is prized for its antioxidant properties and its high content of essential fatty acids. These attributes make it an ideal ingredient for the formulation of creams, body oils and hair products that nourish and protect the skin and hair naturally.
Cocoa butter, on the other hand, comes from an exotic fruit of the same family as cocoa. This ingredient, still little known outside its region of origin, has rapidly gained popularity in natural cosmetics for its extraordinary moisturizing properties. In each batch of copoassu butter we produce, you will find the richness of the Amazonian ecosystem, where each fruit is hand-picked with care and respect for the environment.
Agroforestry Systems: Restoring Nature's Balance
Our operations are not limited to resource extraction. On the contrary, every project we undertake is designed to generate a positive impact on the land and the communities that depend on it. This approach allows us to reforest areas affected by unsustainable practices of the past, regenerating soils and creating habitats for local fauna. Rather than simplifying land use to a single agricultural activity, we work under a system that combines fruit trees, timber and cover crops, thus achieving a synergy that enriches the environment and provides long-term economic benefit for the communities.
Brazil Nut Concession: Active Forest Conservation
Our commitment does not end with the restoration of degraded areas. We are also deeply dedicated to the active conservation of the primary forests that are part of our Brazil nut concession. These areas, certified for sustainable harvesting, are managed with extreme care to ensure that the trees can continue to produce for decades. Through responsible forest management practices and constant monitoring, we ensure the health of the ecosystem and protect the biodiversity that inhabits it.
